What to wear – the (not so) little black dress – 7 ways

Happy 2016 errybody!!!

How blessed I am to see another year. I’m so grateful.

And yet another opportunity to share my passion with y’all. This is truly a gift.

On to the next style challenge – styling the (not so) little black dress. My sister and sometimes model threw the challenge at me, and I jumped on it like a cowboy on a bull in a rodeo (where did that come from??πŸ˜†).

Without further ado. Here goes.
1. The scarf and beanie combo
The scarf and beanie in saturated colours, together with the neutral cardigan and black dress, tights and high heeled boots makes for a warm combo.

2. The shiny bauble and shoes

The statement necklace and high heeled sparkly shoes with a simple black clutch, make for a comfortable, easy and subtly attention grabbing outfit. For those times you want something special and simple.

3. The edgy pastel

A light pink (both in weight and colour) jacket thrown over the black dress, with a tribal necklace and high heeled boots makes for a juxtaposition of an outfit…with the edgy and soft melding together.

4. The plaid gee

A blue and light brown plaid shirt thrown over the black dress with black flat boots and a three layered gold necklace is the epitome of casual, stylish comfort.

5. Neutral glam

A light brown oversized cardigan, light brown high heeled wedges and a gold necklace add some glam to the black dress. Gorgeous!!! No need to say more.

6. Official classy

Black flats, pearls and an off-white coat bring this black dress to the official realm. A structured bag doesn’t hurt either.Β

7. The comfy edge

White ngomas (canvas shoes) and a black leather jacket. What could be better?? According to my sister – nothing. 😊. This was by far her favorite.

That’s all folks. πŸ™‚

You are favoured. You are blessed. You are incredible.

Which is your favourite??

  1. Love this idea of glamming up a black dress. I’d have to go for no.5 as my favourite. An over-sized sweater, a comfortable heel, and gold jewelry does it for me any day! πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚
